The Atlanta Thrashers and the NHL hosted the Atlanta Thrashers NHL Jr. All-Star Tournament this past All Star weekend. This was a phenomenal weekend for the Atlanta Thrashers, the NHL and for youth hockey in the Southeast. This was first in what we hope will become a great tradition in the youth hockey community.
Atlanta Thrasher players were represented by players from the IceForum Junior Thrashers, IceForum Thunder, the Cooler and the MIC. The Atlanta Pee Wee team pictured on the left was coached by former Atlanta Thrasher/current radio analyst, Jeff "The Sheriff" Odgers and former New York Islander/current IceForum hockey director Yan Kaminsky.
The youth Squirt and Pee Wee players enjoyed the NHL All-Star Game, NHL All-Star Skills Competition, NHL All-Star Rockin' Skate, Replica Jerseys, Stanley Cup, meeting former NHL Players, getting autographs of current All-Stars, Tournament Games, NHL All-Star Gift Bags, Red Carpet Event and, of course, the games.
Participating NHL Organizations were: Carolina Hurricanes, Nashville Predators, Washington Capitals, Tampa Bay Lightning. Each NHL organization joined forces to demonstrate that hockey in the South is indeed thriving. We hope that we can all continue to work together to carry that momentum this event has generated.
In addition to all participating markets, we would like to recognize USA Hockey once more for their dedication and support throughout the planning and execution of this event. Their willingness to champion this event when it was just a vision is indicative of their desire and determination to embrace the true spirit of youth hockey.

Players
A minor penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct (Zero Tolerance) shall be assessed whenever a player:

3) Visually demonstrates any sign of dissatisfaction with an official's decision.
Any time that a player persists in any of these actions, they shall be assessed a misconduct penalty. A game misconduct shall result if the player continues with such action.
